Terai Madhesh National Council (TMNC) in association with Simroungarh Municipality are organizing a heritage conference in Simroungarh, Bara (Province No.2), Nepal to be held on May 18-19, 2018.

Objective of the conference is to bring together concerned people related to heritage conservation works and tourism industry, and also those who have written about Simroungarh, for serious discussions around taking steps required for promoting the Simroungarh region.

Call for Papers:

Papers should be themed around the objectives of the conference :
1. To promote and investigate the historical/archaeological importance of Simroungarh, Murtiya, etc
2.  To facilitate dialogue for conservation work of heritage sites, methods and suggestions for Simroungarh, its applicability & feasibility, broadly encompassing town planning and urban/rural milieu for the natives of the region.
3. To discuss tourism related activities, suggestions for developing Simroungarh into a tourist hub. And learn from lessons from other similar archaeological sites of Nepal or South Asia.

4. To investigate into social and political philosophies of Simroungarh/Tirhut Ministers Chandeswar, Jyotirishwar, Vachaspati, Devaditya, Karmaditya, Ramdatta, etc. and explanations of Chandeswarism contained in "Rajneeti Ratnakar", "Kritya Ratnakar","Grihastha Ratnakar","Shuddhi Ratnakar", "Daan Ratnakar", "Puja Ratnakar", "Vyavahaar Ratnakar" etc.
