About Simroungarh:
Simroungarh (also spelled as - Simraongarh, Simraungadh, Simraongadh, Simroon, Simroun, Simara-vana-gadha) is a Municipality with a population of 24615 in southern Bara district of Province No. 2, Nepal. The town has immense archaeological importance where various artifacts of 11th-14th century "Simroun Kingdom" have been excavated, and continue to be found by people of the region. The "Simroun Kingdom" after being plundered, fled towards hills and went on to supplement the Great Malla Dynasty of the Kathmandu valley, under whose rule the valley rose to its prominence in the fields of art, craft and architecture.

In addition to the fort city of Simroungarh, the kingdom of Karnatas comprise several other archaeological sites in the vicinity including Murtiya near Barhathawa in Sarlahi district.

How to get there/Accomodation/Food : 

All the out-station participants will be provided free accommodation facilities in Simroungarh. Out-station participants may come a day before the event and stay an extra day. The participants will need to arrive at Hotel Shah Paradise, New Bus Park in Birgunj (051-527469), from where the organizers will provide transportation services to reach the residential venue in Simroungarh which is about 1.5 hours drive away from the city of Birgunj. If you have relatives at or around the venue site, it would be advisable to stay with them during the course of the event.

All the participants will be provided free food.

For Indian Participants:

From India you have two best options,

Option 1,

By air come to Kathmandu, then fly to Simara airport ...and take a taxi to Birgunj.
Option 2,

By Railways, major routes have direct connectivity to Raxaul Junction(5kms from Birgunj). There are daily trains from Delhi/Lucknow/Patna/­Kolkata/Mumbai/­Guwahati. As well as bi-weekly/­tri-weekly trains from Hyderabad/Jammu tavi/etc.
From Raxaul E-Rickshaws/Tanga are available for Birgunj.
From Birgunj we will take you to the conference venue.
